The 2kw / 2.7hp starter is recommended for 400cu + engines and up to 15:1 compression ratio it utilizes a 2.86:1 gear reduction. It isalso slightly longer in lenghtthan the 1.9hp starter. Aeroflow starter motors have high heat resistance and are powdercoated black for extra corrosion protection.
